Treat this as a reflection tool, not a fixed label. Look for the parts that feel accurate, question the parts that do not, and use the language to notice your habits more clearly.
Deep dive
Social is the Holland type for people-focused, helping interests. Your answers kept choosing teaching, caring, and supporting others over tools, data, or competition.
Teacher, nurse, counsellor, social worker, occupational therapist, speech therapist, HR specialist, coach, youth worker, and customer success manager all fit Social interests. These careers are deeply meaningful and often in high demand, especially in health and education. Many also offer clear progression and the chance to specialise later.
Schools, hospitals, charities, community centres, and team-based workplaces suit you. You flourish where people work together and care about each other. Isolated jobs with little human contact can feel empty to you, however well they pay. Supportive colleagues matter as much to you as the work itself.
Social plus Artistic (SA) points to teaching creative subjects, drama therapy, and youth work. Social plus Enterprising (SE) suits management, sales, and HR leadership. Social plus Investigative (SI) leads to medicine, psychology, and health research. Your second letter helps narrow down which kind of helping fits you best.
Volunteer for a few hours somewhere that interests you: tutoring, a care home, or a community project. You'll quickly learn which kinds of helping energise you, and which ones drain you. It's also a great way to meet people already working in the field.
Social types can give until they burn out. Building rest and boundaries into your working life isn't selfish; it's what lets you keep helping for decades.
