PopTypes is operated by Youli Global Limited, registered in Hong Kong. Every test on this site works without an account. An account is optional, and exists so your results follow you to another device.

1. What we collect

If you never sign in

Your answers are scored in your browser. They are not sent to us. The tests you have taken are written to your browser's own storage so the site can show them back to you, and clearing your browser data for this site removes them.

We do collect ordinary usage data through Google Analytics: pages visited, device and browser type, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the page that referred you. It is used to work out which tests are worth writing more of.

If you sign in

We store your email address, and the tests you complete while signed in, including the result and the scores behind it. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address and profile picture from Google, not your Google password.

If you took tests before signing in, we offer to move those results into your account. That is a choice you make, once.

If you buy a report

Payment is handled by Paddle. At checkout your email address, country and postcode go to Paddle so it can calculate the correct tax. We never see your card number. It is entered on Paddle's checkout, stays with Paddle, and is never stored by us. What we keep is a record that a purchase happened: the order reference, the amount, the currency, and which report it unlocked.

We do not sell your data. We do not show advertising on this site, so no advertising network receives anything from it. We do not ask you for sensitive personal information as part of a test, and we do not treat a test result as a medical, clinical or psychological assessment, because it is not one.

Test results are yours. We do not publish them, and a result page you share is shared because you chose to share it.

4. How long we keep it

Saved results stay in your account until you delete them or ask us to delete the account. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is longer than the rest, and they are kept whether or not the account still exists.

Analytics data follows Google Analytics' own retention schedule. Data in your browser's storage is kept by your browser until you clear it, and is never held by us.

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us any, tell us and we will delete it.

7. Where your data goes

We are based in Hong Kong and the services above operate internationally, so data about you crosses borders. Paddle, Google, Cloudflare and Resend each run global infrastructure and handle transfers under their own terms.

8. If this policy changes

The date at the top changes with it. Continuing to use the site after a change means the new version applies.
