How it actually looks
Long, undramatic, and almost invisible from outside. The people around you tend to notice years later, when they realise you're still at the thing they abandoned in month two.

Deep dive
The Purple Soul, honestly
Perseverance is the least glamorous of the seven and probably the most load-bearing. It doesn't produce good stories, because the whole shape of it is that nothing dramatic happens and you're still there.
A notebook nobody can read
The purple soul left a torn notebook, covered in scrawls nobody can read any more. That's the trait exactly: an enormous amount of accumulated effort that doesn't look like much from outside.
How you're different from Determination
Determination runs on refusal and needs a target. Perseverance runs on nothing in particular and doesn't. Yours is the one that survives the years where there's no target at all.
The quiet risk
You can bear almost anything, which means the question of whether you should is one you rarely get around to asking.
